Still alive...well enough about me!

I'm hoping that someone will read this who knows a guy who grew up in M.H., who's b-day is within a month of 12-10-64, and who was adopted as an infant.
I guess he would be class of '83 or '82.
If anyone can think of anything regarding this matter, plese let me know.
A lady in Merced is looking for her brother. All she knows is that he was a year old and adopted out of San Francisco to a fairly well-to-do-family in M.H.
I met her a week or two ago while assisting Mr. Brad Allen with a job. The lady is a collegue of Brads wife, Coleen. We got two talking and mentioned something about growing up in M.H. and so on. This site should have bulletin board.

Graduated BS Industrial Engineering from Cal Poly SLO, 1990. Moved to New England in 1993 - currently living in central Massachusetts. I work as an operations improvement/IT consultant in healthcare and insurance/financial services.

Married for 10 years, divorced. Met the love of my life four years ago but it's been a rocky road. Can't say how things will turn out.

I'm also building my own home - energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly. There's something to be said for treading lightly on this here planet of ours.

I sing in a barbershop quartet, ride my motorcycle, and study zen/aikido all in an effort to stay sane.

Update: well, the love thing and the house thing aren't going so well. Hoping to sell the house.

I just took a project in Albuquerque for three months. I'm really enjoying the change of scenery and may just wind up back in California to be close to family.

Okay, so I've had my name here for a while, with a big empty space below it. Let me make something up to fill in the emptiness. Hmm.. Married in 1997, have been living in San Jose ever since. Two girls (Kate, born June 2002 and Daryl, born August 2005). Practiced law for a while, but got tired of working with attorneys. Joined a start-up in '99 (EDA software), where I served as contracts attorney, technical writer and program manager. At the end of 2004 I set out on my own as a free-lancer, and now I'm providing legal consulting to various software companies.

I'm always up for hearing what the rest of the world is doing, so click on that e-mail address thingy to say howdy.

It's noted on the "Welcome" page that we're all a bit wiser now--and while I'm having a great time catching up on everyone else, here are some things I've learned since 1985: That having kids is the
best way to learn humility and profound love at the same time(Andreas Nikolai, born 1992, is over 6' tall and wears a size 15 shoe; Anton Dmitri, 12, skipped a grade and has an IQ of 186!); I fire expert with an M16 (so learned during Basic Training at Ft. McClellan en route to becoming a combat MP in the Army National Guard); can change
the oil in any truck I can crawl under; that I meet husbands in team sports (first husband in a sabre fencing class; second husband was recruited to play on my ice hockey team); that modeling is rather boring; that BMW makes the finest automobile in the world; "rice rockets" kick a
Harley's *ss any day of the week (current ride: Yamaha FZ6); that teaching English in Japan is the best way to learn Japanese; that undergrad degrees in Art and
Psychology are not enough -- one must go to grad school (and for me it was to get an MPA from USC); that I have actually been a right-wing extremist all
along yet I have neither a red neck nor a trailer; that having arthritis is horrible; that dresses and heels are as fun to wear as matching Alpinestars leathers; that nature is more important than nurture; that it's as OK to hate as it is to love; that it's great meeting people I admire (Peter Forsberg, Mark Mothersbaugh, Ray Bradbury, Buzz Aldrin) as well as people I don't (Bill Clinton, Gloria Steinem, Willie Brown); that WAY too many people have plastic surgery; that the retro '60s-'70s look that won't die looks good on nobody; that very few people actually understand economics (and it's a shame, too, because it's fascinating); that any shade of white for a wall or ceiling is probably wrong.

Hey Gang, after alot of pressure from my lovely wife of 8 years, I am adding my profile. Since LO I did the work thing then finally the school thing at the University of Arizona. Graduated 1992 with a BS in Public Health. Came back to Gilroy, met an old girlfriend from before college and married her. Have two great kids: Skyler 5 (boy) and McKenna 3 (girl). I still live in Gilroy. When I came back I worked at Jack's Steak House for a bit( saw some of the old friends), then for Monterey Co Health Dept., then an Environmental Company, then to San Jose Fire Dept. I been with San Jose Fire Dept. for about 5 years and loving it. I also started my own Environmental Business as a Contractor. Still friends with Scott Zavack and Stacey Abend. Zavy is currently training to be a pro triathlete and is living in Los Gatos. Stacey went to college then went into the Army as a Ranger. After the Army, he's now teaching in Tucson, AZ. Well that about sums up the last 17 years. See ya.

Hello fellow classmates! After High School I went to Vidal Sassoon (school of Cosmetology) in Santa Monica and became a licensed cosmetologist. In 1991 after a divorce from my high school sweetheart (Mike Toste class of 1983) I immersed myself in school. I received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the California State University, Sacramento in 1995. I then completed a dietetic internship through the Community Hospitals of Central California in 1996 and completed a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of New Haven in 1999. I'm a Registered Dietitian and currently work for the California Department of Public Health and teach at Folsom Lake College. I would love to hear from you!

It's only been four months since my last update but it feels like it's been over a year...

Sadly, my father passed away from pancreatic cancer on Feb. 11th, six months after diagnosis. Mom mentioned that he wasn't doing well in mid January, not long after Keith deployed, and appeared to be waiting for my sisters and I to be there and see him one last time. Pam and I flew out to see him on a Wednesday and he passed away 5 days later. Mom's taking each day as it comes and is keeping busy with taking care of my 96 yo grandmother and their houses. I could only stay a week while Keith's parents stayed here with the girls, but a lot was takend care of in preparation for his passing while there. Nothing like having to remember high school french at the drop of a hat to explain to my aunts in France what transpired and pray I said the right thing!

Not long after returning home from Oregon, we got the call from Michael that we are now grandparents of a beautiful baby girl named Hailey. She's so adorable! The girls and I went to see them and had a fun time.

Now we've been notified Keith's deployment is extended another 3 months so instead of being at the 1/3 mark, we're starting the year over again. None of us are happy with this (especially Jeanine--this is her first deployment she can comprehend as the others were when she was 4 years old and younger) but we know this is his job and ours is to keep the morale up back here. Lots of care boxes have been sent and we are looking forward to his 2 week R&R in the summer.

School is winding down, the girls are looking forward to summer, and I am taking each day as it comes. Please continue to keep our military and their family members in your prayers.

Well it's amazing how much one can change in 20 years. I was never much of a social butterfly.
Since highschool, I went to school for a little while at UCSC and after 1 1/2 years I went back home, I guess they didn't see partying and beach anatomy as a suitable major. I've been married for 13 years to LO graduate of 1982 Ernie (Mr. Frisbee guy) Parraz. We have 3 kids Tara 12, Little Ernie 5 3/4 and Jackson 2. I've been clean and sober for 13 years and Ernie is going on 8. We have built a whole new life together and am so grateful. I'm not nearly the size, or lost person I used to be. God has shown me so much favor, I can't believe it. I'm looking forward to our 20th reunion and frightened all at the same time. It's been a long time my friends, God has a way of using time and experience to change, transform, and mold a person. See you soon... Please feel free to e-mail me anytime I look forward to hearing from you all. Hey has anyone heard from Steve Anderson, Last I heard he was married to highschool sweetheart Caroline (I Think)and living in Arizona, if I don't have her name right please forgive my aging memory, I really miss him!!!!

Hello Live oak. I just figured out how to plug a phone into a computer, so much for that ROP computer programming I took during high school. I still run into folks from the school days here in Morgan Hill and enjoy those encounters, so I thought it would be nice to reach those that have moved on. Please email and let me know how you are doing.

Hello everyone, I was class of 85, but moved three days before my Senior year down to Florida. I was on the Diving team, swim team and water polo team. Since 1985 I have traveled all over the US, mexico, canada and 19 other countries. I have lived in alot of states as well. I got into the restaurant industry and bartended for 14 years which enabled me to travel where ever I wanted. I also went to school for Massage Therapy and had my own practice for 9 years. I have never married (been close twice) and I have no kids. I have done a lot of fun things in my life that I am very proud of.
I learned from this site earlier today by someone on Classmates.com, I recognize a lot of the names of people on here, so I figured I would give it a try and say Hi to people. I am currently Living in Phoenix, Arizona. My favorite place I have lived is Anchorage Alaska, and my two favorite countries I have been to are Thailand and New Zealand. I am currently in sales and I am about to buy my first Harley Davidson in three weeks. I have been riding motorcyles for 18 years, so I can finally afford one. Write to me if you wanna say hello.

Hey everybody! After graduation I immediately moved to Santa Barbara and made a brief attempt at College. Started working for some stock brokers and never returned to school. Moved back to the bay area and worked for several tech companies, all the while partying like crazy. Finally met Mr. Right at the Saddle Rack!! He was in the Navy about to be discharged and we moved back to his hometown in the Florida panhandle. I am still living in Florida and I am a Mortgage Loan Officer. No children, one cat. My husband is a Marine Biologist and we love taking the boat out in the Gulf of Mexico. Had a great time at the 5 and 10 year reunions, can't wait for the next one! Please e-mail me!

Wow, it's been a long time since I thought about high school, but I came across this site while searching for an old friend. A lot has happened in my life since graduation. I went on to receive my BA from SJSU, wrote for a magazine called Monterey Life before heading up to Vancouver, British Columbia to visit. I loved it here and have stayed ever since. I became an Art Director for a large magazine in Vancouver before moving on to start my own company. I now have a successful Marketing and Design Agency in the Vancouver area. I'd love to get in touch with any old friends. I still come to California, as my family still lives there. I'm married to a great guy, who had 2 kids from a previous marriage so never had any of my own, but his two keep us busy which is just perfect for me!

I just thought I’d leave a message in case anyone remembered me, and wondered what I was doing these days. After leaving Live Oak I went on to UC Davis for college. In 1991, after living a year in India, I went to Stanford Law School. I became married in 1995, unfortunately this relationship has not worked out, and I’m now single living in San Francisco. I do not have any children. I’m currently a Public Defender fighting for Truth Justice and the American Way in Oakland.

Life is really good! Got my B.A. and then M.S in psychology and education and worked as a school psychologist for a few years before being pushed into administration. I have been Director of Student Services and Special Education for a school district in San Jose for ten years now. It's not really what I pictured but I'm good at it and I feel like I make a difference.

I was principal of a junior high school for a year. Wow, was that a strange experience. Seeing Junior High from the other side took me back to Martin Murphy!
After doing the career thing, and traveling a bit, I finally focused on my personal life and found the right guy. Dave and I got married two years ago in Santa Cruz under a beautiful sunset with friends and family. He is a wonderful man, a teacher, and now a stay at home dad. We have two beautiful boys Riley who is a very active and happy three year-old and Jeremy who is a happy eighteen months. I am outnumbered! We live in south San Jose and have great neighbors and a really nice life.

In April of 1999 I married my beautiful wife Colleen in a quiet little ceremony at Ironstone Vinyards in Murphys CA. After several years in San Jose, I was offered A job in San Luis Obispo CA. In 2002 we sold our House in San Jose and moved to Atascadero CA.

In the end of 02 and the begining of 03 the Army activated me for two yrs as a Tactics Instructor for Operation Enduring Freedom. I spent the two years moving around the country preping soldiers to go to Afganistan and Iraq. On 30 May 04 we recieved a gift form god. Our son Austin was born. He only weighed about 3.5 lbs but now at 16 months he's growing out of 2t's.
Life is good!!!

I'm now livining back at home and curently employed as a Nuclear Security Officer in San Luis Obispo County.

Hi classmates!! Long time no see! You may not remember me, apparently I was a "quiet one". After high school I went to West Valley and also started working at Schoeber's Athletic Club. Then, I transferred to SJSU, graduating in '90 and '91 with a minor in Art, a B.A. in Child Development and an Elem. School Teaching Credential. Available teaching jobs seemed hard to come by, so I ended up substitute teaching in Evergreen, Morgan Hill and Oak Grove school districts for six years!! I met my husband, Rick (Santa Teresa '87), at Schoeber's and we were married in '95. Fed up with teaching, I took an admin job and quit Schoeber's. After some difficult pregnancies, we have two wonderful and challenging children; Elijah (Eli), almost 8 and Amy, almost 6. We lived at Lake Tahoe for two years, but settled in the Carson Valley in Nevada. The Sierra Mountains are next door and Tahoe is only a 25 minute drive. Plus, it's a great place to raise kids. My husband is a bank manager and my job title is "Mommy", at least until this fall when both our kids will be in school full time and I will need to find something to do. I hope to see everyone at a reunion this year!

The last 14 years in 10 words or less.. Did the "Gav" thing and then on to San Jose City. Determined that school was not for me and went to work full time. Met my wife and soul mate in '89 (RoxAnn/Del Mar HS)and was married in May of '91. She took a job w/ hp and I with a Telecom company. I started traveling to Sacramento almost every day and hated the 4 hour a day drive. She put in for a Transfer to the Roseville site and I moved to a great company. I work for River City Communications out of Sacramento as a Project Estimator. Its fun and challanging. We now live just 1 mile from the hp site (90 min from Skiing!) The area is growing and will become a newer version of what the Santa Teresa area was when it first started growing. Roseville is known for it's schools and we hope to expand our family next year and one day take advantage of the school system here. I hope that all is well with all my old classmates and their family's. Drop an email if ya dare! Don't just "Lurk", send someone a message. Take care

After high school, I accepted a parts coordinator position with Whirlpool. In 1993, I met my wife Judy at 24 hour nautilus. We married in 1994 and bought a house in San Jose. We have a five year old son (Kyle) and a three year old daughter (Courtney). They were born on May 23 (two years and two hours apart). In 1999, I completed my AA degree in business and accepted a product support supervisor position with On Command. While my marriage remains challenging, I am very proud of my children. They are a cherished blessing from God. It's good to read most everyone is doing well, and it would be good hearing from an acorn or two. May we keep our values aligned, and share our highest human potentials. Go Cowboys!

OMG. I'm totally still in NYC. WTF. LOL. I have a new girlfriend (Naomi Kline), and I want to marry her. She is cool, has a terrific rump, and doesn't cheat on me. LOL. I have a shit desk job at a real estate firm that bores me to tears. I was in an insane cover band (called Fort Knockers) for a while at least. LOL. That was fun. LOL. (Laughing Out Loud). Lasted about 7 months, until early this year. We played rock covers, but I was a Neil Diamond impersonator. wtf!!! I know. It didn't make any sense at all. LOL. Whatever. Obviously, I'm not treating this update with the gravity that is due. LOL. (Laughing Out Loud). I'll see many of you at the upcoming reunion, which is somewhere in San Jose, I think. LOL. I was hoping for Jack's Steak House, but I hear Morgan Hill went totally pansy and they closed down. See you all there. Let's get trashed. LOL. Wait. Am I really going to this reunion? It's a little out of my way, and I don't remember very many people.

I entered military service five days after we graduated and retired this past summer. Everything in between was a truly exceptional experience. More importantly, there isn’t a lot I would like to change because everything I’ve done, everything I’ve seen and everywhere I’ve been has made me what I am today…HAPPY!

In July of 1990, I met the greatest thing that ever happened to me; my wife Nancy. The first time I saw her, I said, “That’s the girl I’m going to marry.” Four months later, I did and never looked back. After fifteen years of marriage, we both define “success” as being able to spend more time with each other.

A year later, we had our daughter, Mariah. The toughest part of those years for us was that I missed the first five years of my daughter’s life because I was deployed with the Army for one mission or another. Recently, however, Mariah and I have done just about everything together. This includes attending Heavy Metal rock concerts together, swimming with sharks in Hawaii and me learning to Snowboard. All of this taught me one undisputable fact…I don’t bounce like I used to. Watching her grow up has been so much fun and I love the fact that she is everything that I wasn’t at her age.

Currently, I work for a pharmaceutical company and Nancy works for a bio-tech company and we live in Northern California.

Moved to Arizona, got married, got into a career, got divorced, then basically got drunk and on drugs for 13 years.
