Hello to all my classmates! Wish I could make the 2005 Reunion in Hollister. After living many years in the Morgan Hill area, I decided it was time to spread my wings. I moved to Reno, NV in 1998 and it was there that I met my present husband, Mike. We have been married for 6 years. About a year ago, we decided to move to Clearwater, Florida (a new adventure). We are ready to come back to California, probably the San Jose area. Can't wait to get back. My one and only daughter and my 11 year old grandson live in Fernley, NV. I still have family in Morgan Hill and Gilroy. And can't wait to get back to my roots! For the past 18 years, I have been in the tourism/hospitality business and this career fits me very well. Would love to hear from classmates!

Wow how time has flied by and the weight i have gained. I still love in morgan hill and I'm amazed how the town has grown so much. I remeber when we use to ride are bikes to Uvas. All my kids are grown and have left the nest. My youngest played football at Live Oak and started every year and was on the cover of the morgan hill times many times. He had a few scholarship offers from some schools in oregon but decided he didn't want to go. He then attend San Jose city college and played there and recently transfered to Hasting college in Nebraska on a football scholarship. My daughter is a teacher at San Martin elementary. I'm really thankful my kids did not follow in my foot steps and really want to earn there degrees i sometimes wonder if my youngest just goes for the girls there is always a new one every two weeks. My daughter is married has three kids(two of the from her husbands previous marriage) there is never a dull moment with any of them im just glad i dont have to deal with that any more. My daughter is really good with kids and enjoys every moment with them. I just tell her wait till they hit sixteen. Isnt that the age when you start to worry more and more. She is really great one of those people who has a magical touch with kids. I hope all is well in your lifes and write me if you have a moment i would love to hear from you.

It's been a long time since I've seen or spoken to many of you (1988).
My wife and I haved lived in Oregon since 1991, I still work for Costco as a staff manager (23 years). I started a Drag Racing Team in 1996 and raced a rear engine alcohol dragster until my health made me hang my helmet up in 2000.
We will be attending the 40th Reunion so I will be able to see my friends again.
See you in August.

I am currently living in Aromas, California (located in North Monterey County, between Gilroy and Salinas), with my wife (Donna K McGlashan) and daughter (Hadley). We have 5 acres, with 2 horses, some cats, and a dog (appropriately named 'Cricket'), and live in a 3300 sq ft home that I designed and built. In addition to Donna and Hadley, I have 4 grown sons, and 3 wonderful granddaughers. My career has been quite varied -- I have worked for 7 different companies, and even spent 5 years operating my own computer training and service business. Currently, I am a Program Manager at Hewlett-Packard in Palo Alto. It is a great job, which takes me to many places at home and abroad. The past 40 years have gone by much too quickly!

Hi everyone. I have been working in design and animation for so many years that I am now competing with kids young enough to be my own grandchildren. I have been lucky to have worked on projects for high profile clients such as CBS, NBC, ESPN, TNT, and lots more including international broadcast concerns. I have also created a number of broadcast and print ads... have done more commercials outside of the US than in. Designed motion picture titles and posters. But most importantly I have finally found a wonderful, beautiful and patient woman who can tolerate me, she is from Oklahoma... go figure. I am living in Dallas which is lots more fun on TV than real life. I have been producing experimental short films with some success and enjoy doing that very much. Have travelled extensively and enjoyed every mile and adventure I have found in the world. I am a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and maintain my own design firm which usually consists of only myself with lots effects and editing software.
Please feel free to send an email if you have a fond thought of old Morgan Hill. I couldn't wait to get out of there when I was young, but it is a beautiful little town today. My brother Marc still runs the Auto Parts business back home.

For the past 40 yrs. I have been in the retail business, 30 of which has been spent in management, and half of that has been spent as a salesmanager. What a mistake!! Flying from state to state or city to city has cost me my marrige of 24 yrs. and I have been trying to get used to the single thing for the past 3 yrs. Still have the same job, Never had any children (regrets) Have a new home up in the Yosemite Park Estates near Coarsegold Calif. Not planning to retire just yet, like to travel to much.

The Holiday Story

Anybody, who knows even a little bit about Greek mythology (and, because art, literature, music and science of Western culture have utilized it intensively within last three millennia, it should be, practically, everybody), should know the story of the Titan Prometheus, who, in spite of Gods’ prohibition, had brought the fire to people, making their life much easier, and had been heavily punished for that, having for the eternity his liver every day to be tormented by the giant eagle.
Does anybody think that our life has significantly changed since that mythological time when the story had been created? If so, then think again, as I am about to tell you the real story of the real contemporary Prometheus.

Could anybody now imagine his/her life without microprocessors? I do not think so. They are everywhere: in house utensils, phones, TV’s remotes, cars, and, of course, in computers. However, someone had come up at first with this concept. The name of this boy was Wayne D. Pickette, and at the age of seventeen, he, already familiar by that age with electronics through self-education, had come up with this idea of computer-on-a-chip. Nobody had wanted to listen to the boy, but finally one scientist and engineer-Dr Robert Noyce had listened to him, had hired him, and let him transform his concept into working device. This is, in short, the story of the appearance of microchip-4004, and this is the most valued part of the history of American technology. However, when the device had started to bring the glory and the profit it-worth, the boy, already the young man by then, had gotten the created for him car accident, which he had survived, but had gotten his neck broken, his body paralyzed for thankfully only a short while of time, and his spirit seriously contaminated. Anyhow, in spite of the overwhelming evidence of his pioneership, he had not gotten what had been, and is now due to him, especially after the death of Dr. Robert Noyce.

The poverty and the terrible non-deserved offence could torment someone’s liver on daily basis even more efficiently that this mythological giant eagles. And that is the part of our story, which is so similar to the original Prometheus myth.

The boy was born, however, with the thirst for all kind of inquiries, and creativity, and his love to his buddies - people, as to other inhabitants of this planet, had been also embedded in his heart from the birthday. So, he came up with the real concept of how to substitute all current cars, jets, and other vehicles, which are now people’s tools of the destruction of this planet, and, subsequently, self-destruction, with light vehicles, utilizing all kinds of energy and fuel and non producing any pollution whatsoever. But, once again, he was either allowed to give up his authorship, or to move very, very slowly with the implementation of his concept, as his financial circumstances did not allow the better speed. This time he chose the second alternative. So, if our current Gods-people with money, like venture capitalists, and/or politicians, had in reality a bit more of compassion and less cruel nature than Greek Gods on the Olympus, not mentioning even their hypocrisy, as Greek Gods are not known to possess this winning quality of our modern politicians, we-the people of this poor planet have been already able to have light, efficient vehicles, producing no pollution. But, unfortunately, our contemporary Gods are only concerned with their money, and, in the best scenario, with their trinkets, like Nobel Prizes or Oscars, but choosing to do nothing towards their, so named, warning, for which they have received these trinkets.
So, you see, Prometheus had come up only with one idea, and, therefore, has had only one eagle, tormenting his liver on daily basis. But what would have happened, if he had been able to do any more wonderful things for people, the mythology doesn’t tell, but the contemporary life does: He would obtain then another terrible eagle or other beast, tormenting on daily basis his heart or lungs, for example, in addition to the first one.
So, let us celebrate, Ladies and Gentlemen, during this holiday season the successful evolution of our society over the road of the conservative compassion, shall we?

OK y'all - where did the last 40 years go? I left Live Oak and spent the next 3-1/2 years at UoP in Stockton...tranferred to UND at Grand Forks, ND, and graduated w/a BS in Elementary Ed. Met my husband John, of 34 years, while he was stationed at the Grand Forks Air Force Base. He had just returned from Vietnam as a B-52 pilot. After marrying in Cheyenne, WY we moved to Chatham, NJ for 13 years. Upon leaving NJ we adopted our daughter (1 day old)and moved to Walnut Creek, CA - lived there 6 years. Our son was born(our surprise baby) in 1989. We moved to Colleyville, TX in 1992 and have been in the same house since. I have been fortunate enough to homeschool our son Stephen (18yo)for the last 14 years. He is "lite autistic" - as I like to call his way of learning. He has overcome so much, is a handsome young man, and will have a lot to offer the world someday. His sister, Laura, is a precious 21 yo blond - and lives in Fort Worth. My mother passed away in 2003 and my father in 2005. My stepfather (George Ratzlaff) and his wife currently live in Russellville, AR. My husband's mother passed away at the age of 103 - just last month (3/08). She had lived near us since 1989. Hopefully, we will be able to make it to the 40th reunion in August. I would love to see all of you. (P.S. I would like to apologize to Ron Akino for having been instrumental in spilling red wine on his white shirt while sitting across from him at dinner at the 30th reunion...sorry!)
Hoping to see all of you soon.

I guess I will never quit being an Acorn. I recently worked for Oak Knoll Senior Living in Paradise, California in an Alzheimers Unit as a Certified Nursing Assistant and I was their Primary Caregiver. I just moved to a little town called Brownsville, CA in the remote corner of Yuba County. My husband and I just celebrated our Silver Anniversary in March and we just had our thirteenth grandchild. Being 50 has its blessings and aches and pains, but I continue to feel like I am one of the most blessed women around. My oldest daughter Graduated from Chico State with her BA in Liberal Arts and is now working on her teachers credential. My life has been a busy one. After graduation, I traveled with my grandmother to Iowa for the summer. We had a great time. The following year, I met my first husband whom gave me two wonderful daughters. While I was pregnant with my second daughter, Bob (my husband) was killed in an accident. Two years later I met my beloved Don (he had two boys). With four children we melded our lives into one. (Recently I was informed I failed my children, because I never taught them how to fight [only if more parents could set that example]). Don and I have traveled and moved around a LOT!!!! From Napa to San Diego to Silver Spring, Maryland, to Papua New Guinea, to Paradise, To Yuba City, To Stonyford, To Papua New Guinea, to Brisbane, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Browns Valley, Stonyford, Browns Valley, Paradise, Browns Valley, Papua New Guinea and back to Paradise, Californiaand now to Brownsville, CA. We have pastored a church and been missionaries. It has truly been an exciting life! God has been merciful to us.
