About

The Live Oak Alumni Network is a site for alumni of Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, California, USA. It is free service provided by two fellow alumus, Stephen Musgrave and Tim Roach, both of the class of 1992. History

The site was founded during the Spring of 1996 by Stephen and the process of adding and updating profiles was completely manual. Tim brought his incredible technical wizardry to the table later that year and the site's traffic and transactions went through the roof.

Musgrave and Roach don't have a business plan, they don't charge anything for the use of the site. And with no venture capital backing nor lofty business plans, this site will continue to flourish forever, or until Musgrave forgets to pay the bill. (To help Musgrave pay the bills you can donate some money to the fund.) No overzelous get-rich-quick corporate theives running this show. This is a community site, void of pop-up ads commodifying sexuality to get you to buy a silly little spy camera that has the fidelity of a 1950s circa television set.

Privacy

This site will never sell your information -- especially to those who are peddling viagra, breast englargement drugs or any pill that claims it will make everyone want to be your friend. Instead, this site seeks to help everyone who arrives to rediscover old and build a more meaningful life through community and belonging rather than pills and polystyrene.

In This Version

The site is currently on it's 3rd edition. The most recent overhaul has increased security, performance and navigation.

The sites information has been reorganized a bit to make it more class centric. For example, if there is any reunion information for your class, it will be presented to you on your class page, avoiding the confusion of having to traverse to a reunion page with all classes listed.

The site has been completely migrated from PERL with the data stored in flat files to PHP with the data store in a mySQL database.
